Good Will Hunting by Mansi Kabre
Good Will Hunting is an amazing movie about the path of a prodigy, as he is discovered by a renowned math professor at MIT. Will Hunting, played by Matt Damon, works as a janitor at MIT and finds himself solving intricate math problems that took mathematicians years to solve, in just hours.
He is witty, intellectual and somewhat charming, making him seem like the perfect person at the surface. However, he has internal difficulties that start to become apparent as the movie continues on. Will moved through foster homes as a child, causing him to have trust issues with everyone he meets, including his girlfriend whom he’s afraid to get attached to. Throughout the movie, he tries to resolve these problems with his shrink, Sean, played by Robin Williams.
Sean shows Will that you cannot know everything and that there is more to life than just math and what you read in books. There is experience, love, pain, and trust. This is a beautifully crafted movie, with just the right amount of humor, intelligence, and a touch of broken emotion that shows even the most incredible people as they are: Human.
